According to him, people who want to sail should monitor its indications. Usually, one day before waterspout happened, humid air is typically felt from night to morning.

The cloud will quickly change into dark gray or black color, which usually called as cumulonimbus. "If there are similar signs, then it is 50 percent chance of occurrence," he said.
On Monday morning, Hilmansyah (23), Tidung Island resident said, he wanted to go to Kelapa Island from Tidung Island by boat. But suddenly around 9 AM, waterspout was seen from Semak Daun Island.
"Distance between waterspout and boat is around two kilometers. We are panic and boat is spinning. But thank God, we can reach to the shore," he closed.
